Snorkelling/Sea Kayaking [ACTION]

Over the winter break, I went on a snorkelling/ sea kayaking trip with a few friends of mine from KL and Brunei as part of a camping experience. As this trip was organized by our parents, I was made to be inquirers and communicators to these friends of mine who I didn't know really well. It taught me to learn how to communicate as most of them do not speak english as their first language.

Risk-taking was also part of the trip, as I have never been snorkelling before, and even in the seemingly shallow waters, there is always something sinister about the deep dark blue void in the distance. Furthermore part of the snorkelling experience required jummping off the jetty, which was about 10 meters tall, as well as swimming out a fair bit into the sea to reach the boat at the pick up site. As I was fairly unknown to the underwater world, it also made me think about the importance in the conservation of sea life as well as the importance of safety issues.

At the end of the day we would all gather round the campsite and have reflective sessions, communicating with each other, getting to know each other better.
